About Chindi

Chindi is a prominent getaway, located right in the middle of North India. It is a small hill station, located in Himachal Pradesh, and is famous for its natural charm and splendour. The place is situated right on top of a small hill and is easily accessible from almost all the major cities, like- Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehra Dun and many more. The weather is pleasant and is bound to mesmerise you.


How to reach

By Road :Shimla is the nearest major city located 95 kilometres away. From Mandi, it is 103 kilometres, while from Delhi, the distance is 450 kilometres. Buses and vehicles on hire are easily available from all the places. 
By Rail : Nearest Railway Station is at Shimla which is only 87 kilometres away. It connects this part of the region with the rest of India. 
By Air : Nearest airport is also at Shimla which is 110 kilometres way.

  • When to visit
  • Tourists can visit this place during any time of the year. However, tourists are advised to avoid this place during the time period ranging from November to April.

  • What to Eat
  • A number of eateries are there that serves North Indian and Mughlai dishes. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are available.

  • Attractions
  • Shikari Devi Temple : Local people as well as tourists from all over India visit this temple. Legend says that during earlier times, hunters used to worship the idol here. The temple does not have a roof.
    Prashar Lake : This beautiful lake is located 40 kilometres away. A small temple is there which was built during the 14th century. 
    Karsog Valley : This small valley is widely known for its green carpet of meadows, ancient temples and pollution free environment. Some noted temples that you can visit here include- Mahunag Temple, Maleshwar Mahadev Temple and many more.

  • Activities
  • - Apart from visiting temples, tourist can also enjoy the excellent atmosphere of this region. There are a number of good picnic spots around here.
    - One must not miss out an evening walk along the valley, especially on a full moon light.
