About Gulaba

Gulaba is a small village, which has been named after Raja Gulaab Singh, the ruler of Kashmir. It is a small village located near Manali, on the way to Rohtang Pass. Gulaba is not an ordinary village by any means. This village is practically surrounded by some of the most beautiful elements of nature. On one side, there are the picturesque mountains, covered by white snow, while on the other hand there are vast tracts of grasslands. The Beas river adds more to its beauty. This small village is gradually transforming into a hub for adventure sports.


How to reach

By Road : Gulaba lies on the way to Rohtang Pass. This place is also 4 kilometres away from Solang Valley. Buses are easily available from these places. 
By Rail : Jogindernagar Railway Station is the nearest railway station located in Manali. This station connects this place with the major cities in India via Chandigarh and Ambala. 
By Air : Kullu Bhuntar Airport is the nearest airport. Cabs are easily available from this place.

  • Gulaba is known for its snow-capped mountains and ice-sports. So tourists can visit this place throughout the year. If they like snow, then they can visit this place during winter.

  • Some small eateries are there that serves North Indian dishes and herbal tea. However, good quality cuisines are available in Manali.

  • Rohtang Pass : This place lies very close to Gulaba. In fact, it is one of the place that every tourist visit while they are in Gulaba. Rohtang is a high mountain pass which connects a number of valleys in Himachal Pradesh.
    Naggar Castle : It is an old castle located 21 kilomet4res away from Kullu. This castle was built by ruler Sidh Singh, around 500 years ago. This castle is witness to some of the glorious ages of history. 
    Apart from this, tourists can also visit places like- Solang Valley, Kothi and many more.
