About Jibhi

Jibhi is a little known hamlet in the Banjar Valley of Himachal Pradesh. This place has got a simplistic charm of its own and is surrounded with natural cover of trees and mountains. Guarded intimately by alpine trees and free-flowing streams, this place is a non-commercial abode and is really removed from the daily chores of the city. Its wild flowers, green forests and a serene experience are reasons enough to visit this place. From here on can access a number of other mountain passes and trekking sites.

How to reach

By Road : Jibhi is around 27 kilometres away from Banjar camp and lies on the Chandigarh-Manali highway. It can also be reached from Aut. 
By Rail : Nearest railway station is at Chandigarh, which connects this region with the rest of the country. 
By Air : Nearest airport is also at Chandigarh. However, the newly renovated airport at Shimla is also a preferred mode of communication. From both the places one can hire a cab and head for Banjar.

  • Tourists can visit this place during summers or during the winters. Avoid visiting any hilly region during the monsoon as there are chances of roadblocks.

  • Try out some local cuisines and beverages. Also you can try out some North Indian dishes as well.

  • Chaini Fort : It is small fort like structure located in the Chaini Village which is a few kilometres away from Jibhi. This place si popular for its ancient structures which are inspired by Chinese art and archaeology. 
    Sharingi Bagi Temple : It is another important tourist place located just along the way to Chiladhar. The temple is very popular with the tourist and the locals. 
    Sarehul Lake : This lake is located near the mountain pass of Jalori and takes more than 2 hours by car to reach this place. The natural water lake is a top tourist attraction.

  • Activities
  • - Trekking is by far the most popular activity in this region. A good number of mountain passes and trekking spots are easily accessible from Jibhi. 
    - If you visiting with friends and family and are not quite interested in trekking, then nature sight-seeing will suit you. You have water falls, lakes, mountains peak and forests to see and enjoy.
