How to reach

By Road : Regular bus services are available from cities like- Delhi, Shimla, Chandigarh, Pathankot and Dharamshala. Tourists can also choose to hire cabs from any of these places. 
By Rail : Nearest station is at Ambala Cantonment in Chandigarh. Trains from almost all parts of the country do make a stop here. 
By Air : Bhungtar is the nearest airport located 45 kilometres from Manali. Cabs are available from the terminus.

  • When to visit
  • Tourists can visit this place during any time of the year except the months of monsoon. During monsoon, this region experiences very heavy rainfall and the roads become dangerous.

  • There is no dearth of good hotels and restaurants in and around Manali. Most of them serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

  • Solang Valley : Also known as Snow Point, this place is located between Beas Kund and Solang Village. Solang Valley is not only famous for its snow, but also famous for the plethora of activities that one can indulge himself into. 
    Rohtang Pass : It connects Manli to the rest of Himachal. In fact, tourists have to pass through this place if they are travelling by road. It is also referred to as a desert of snow and is also a source of a number of rivers. 
    Beas Kund : It is located 18 kilometres from the centre of the town. The river Beas ries from this place and drains a considerable part of Himachal. The water of this place is often considered as holy in nature. 
    Vashisth Baths : Places of religious interests can leave you spiritually enlightened, but the spring water of this place will elevate your mind and soul. This place is located within a few kilometres from Manali. 
    Chandrakhani Pass and Parvati Valley- Located at an height of 3.600 feet, this place is a mini paradise in itself. The pass is an ideal site for photo-shoot.

  • Apart rom the numerous sites that tourists can visit, Manali is the ideal place for adventure and fun games. Here one can enjoy sports like- rock climbing, zorbing, para-gliding, hiking, trekking and skiing.
