About Namdapha

Namdapha National Park is one of the largest national park in India which is located in Changlang district of Arinachal Pradesh. Namdapha and its adjoining areas, is flanked by the Patkai hills to the south and south-east and by the Himalaya in the north and lies close to the Indo-Myanmar-China tri-junction.By stretching across an area of 1985 km2 with 177 sq km in buffer zone and 1808 sq km in the core area, the park is located between the Dapha bum range of the Mishmi Hills and the Patkai range with a wide altitudinal range between 200 m and 4571 m above the sea level.
Rare species of animals such as snow leopards, clouded leopards, common leopards, tigers and even Red Pandas can be sighted here.

By Road: Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service (APSTS) is providing transport facilities to Namdapha National Park. 
By Train: Tinsukia is the nearest railway station to this destination. 
By Air: Dibrugarh is the nearest airport to this destination.

  • - Miao Museum: It is a collection of large python snake. There is also a museum of clothing and tools of locals.
    - Raja Jheel can be reached by a path bifurcating from the main path between Hornbill and Firmbase just before Rani Jheel.
    - Gandhigram is a tidy and well-planned village, with the traditional chang-houses built in rows along several parallel streets.
    - Vijaynagar : About 18 km from Gandhigram, Vijaynagar is the base area where the Assam Rifles is stationed and Indian Air Force
