About Udaipur

Udaipur is a city and a nagar panchayat which also serves as the headquarters of the Gomati district of Tripura. This city is famous for its artificial lakes (Dhani Sagar, Amar Sagar, and Mahadev Dighi) and is mostly known for the Tripur Sundari or Tripureswari temple, which is one of the 51 Shakti peethas of Goddess Sati. Tripura Sundari is worshipped by locals as the Goddess of the state.


How to reach

By Road : State buses are available from Agartala to Udaipur which is about 55 kms by road. 
By Rail : The nearest railway route is the Lumding Agartala railway route. 
By Air : The nearest airport is in Agartala.

  • The best time to visit is in between September to March as the summer is very uncomfortable here and the monsoons come with floods.
