About Veyilingala Kona

The term ‘Veyilingala Kona’ in Telugu means the ‘the valley of the thousand lingas’. Veyilingala Kona is a serene, beautiful and peaceful place in the abode of nature about a few kilometres from the town of Srikalahasti on the Sri Veyilingala Kona hills and has a cascading waterfall and a temple having thousand or Sahasra lingas on which the place has been named.

How to reach

By Air : The nearest airport is in Tirupati which is barely a half an hour drive from and to Srikalahasti town. Cabs or private cars can be hired from Tirupati airport, which is well connected by major cities and towns of India, to reach Srikalahasti and then follow the road journey to ‘Veyilingala Kona’. 
By Rail : The nearest railway station is in Tirupati and Srikalahasti. From both these place, cabs, private cars, or local transport can be availed to reach ‘Veyilingala Kona’ which is about kms from tirupati and 7 kms from Srikalahasti. 
By Road : The nearest town Srikalahasti is well connected by state buses which are connected with major cities of Andhra Pradesh, and from there the concerned site can be reached.

  • The best time to visit this place is during the monsoon and post- monsoons, i.e., from July to March.

  • Mouthwatering South Indian delicacies like Dosa, Vada, Idli, Appam, Sambhar, Payasam, Rasam, etc are on offer in the restaurants and eateries of Srikalahasti. Being a temple town, only vegetarian food is found here.
